The Skincare Cream and Toner You Need for a Perfect Complexion

The Skincare Cream and Toner You Need for a Perfect Complexion

Maybe it’s age, maturity, or the popular “skin is in” ideology that seems bigger than ever among all ages, races and backgrounds, but for the last few years, I’ve been obsessed with all things skin care and beauty. When the pandemic hit America in March, it only fueled my desire to feel good, look good. And OK, sure, there were plenty of wine nights and indulgent dinners, but let’s chalk that up to my big belief in balance.

We all have our baseline for beauty. Maybe it’s a CC cream and some mascara. Maybe it’s a creamy moisturizer and a nude gloss. For me, it’s a glowing complexion and barely-shaped brows. When I came across Better Skin Co., I found two products that really took my love for a well-moisturized, dewy look that shimmers to the next level.

If you’ve followed along with the beauty brands I’ve featured, you know that I love promoting clean products. Better Skin Co. is committed to using clean ingredients. The brand prioritizes plant-based ingredients, avoids synthetics, and ensures cruelty-free practices. Their transparency is even more enticing as a customer. If they do use a synthetic ingredient, it’s a safe synthetic. They promise sustainably sourced palm oil. And when acquiring beeswax and lanolin, no bees or sheep are harmed.

Founded in 2015 by Natalya Rachkova and Murphy D. Bishop, II, Better Skin Co. began with an American dream. Natalya and her family emigrated from The Republic of Uzbekistan to Seattle, WA, with Natalya’s secret recipe for her famous miracle cream in tow.

The Better Skin Mirakle Cream is the pioneering product of the company as a whole. Still serving as the number one selling product, the cream is a multi-purpose powerhouse. It’s a day cream, night cream, eye cream, brightener and primer. It combats dry skin, dark spots and fine lines.

Being a skin care and beauty lover doesn’t mean having more products, and this cream proves it. As a blogger, I find my medicine cabinet getting clogged up with different products. And while I LOVE trying out the full gamut on the market, having your go-to products that can stand out on a shelf, or be the first to go with you on a trip, is so nice. What I love the most about this cream is that it feels indulgently rich when applied (like a night cream), but dries weightless (like a day cream!) and leaves a dewy glow (like a brightener!)

The cream features a beautiful blend of ingredients including coconut oil, sea buckthorn, shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe, and soothing algae to help moisturize the skin. Peptides and hyaluronic acid help skin appear smoother, more youthful and radiant.

Then there’s quite literally the best toner/spritzer I’ve ever tried in my life. The Epik C Boost can be used after cleansing as a toner by applying with a cotton pad to further revitalize the skin. Or, it can be used as a spritzer to perk you up midday. It leaves a minimal, golden sheen on my skin that looks beautiful by itself for days when I just want a fresh face. I love using it as a makeup setter as well. It’s formulated with vitamin C, green tea, aloe, sea kelp, among other beneficial ingredients for cleansing, repairing, refreshing and soothing. The hint of lemon scent adds a refreshing perk.

If you’re looking for the ideal combo between deep moisture and a gorgeous glow, Better Skin Co. has you covered, and then some! Check out their full line of products, including their Epik C Serum, which features a potent trio of vitamin C and two French plant-based actives
